If you’re looking for a quality African safari experience this is NOT the place. You are totally treated like a number here…with so many people it’s impossible to be treated like an individual. There is zero personal service. No initial explanation in the resort/facilities/where to dine/how to book activities. Our room wasn’t available when we arrived, nor was it available 1hr later at 2.30pm. As we were expected to join a river cruise at 2.45, we left our bags with them & did our cruise. Came back at 6pm and along with many others, hit reception for our key. No key…it’s a card and many of the entire establishment room door automation locks have failed. One hotel staff member is escorting people to their rooms using one master key! Finally fixed 24hrs later. The room is spacious, good bed & pillows. Bathroom tiling is gross…very old & stained grout. Cleaning standard is average …big clump of hair in the shower drain 🤮 Now…the river cruise… Soft drink, wine, beer, water & snacks provided. No tea & coffee. Snacks were average….dried out mimosas’ & some sort of sausage bites. I was happy to see some salad available but there was no cutlery so you’d have to eat it with your fingers! Boat skipper pointed out the various animals & birds we came across just by name. There was no information on anything, just their name. If you can manage it try Kambuka River Sands Resort in Sth Africa…6 star compared to this.
